Parent On Duty

Family: Anthony Kubien/Shiehern Kubien

Tasks:

  • Keeping the school hours by ringing the bell at the beginning and the end of each class
  • Keeping students in order and safe during recess (e.g., no student running/chasing allowed inside the Ward church)

精誠財務 Education Fund Planning Seminar (Nov 12, 2022) 

Judy Wang from 精誠財務 will be hosting a seminar on Saturday 11/12/2022. All parents are welcome to attend the seminar. Please see attached flyer for more information about her seminar. Judy is one of our sponsors who has been supporting us generously for many years.Flyer_20221112_Seminar.jpg

Weekly Food/Item Sale for Donations to MCS 

We are starting a food/item sale each week during school hours. Earnings of all sales will be donated to MCS. The sale will be located at the hallway outside the classroom area. The following are the food/items we will be selling this Saturday. If you are interested in selling food/items for donation to MCS, please let me know. Please note that you or someone you designated will be responsible for selling your food/item.

  • Homemade 叉燒酥 from Ice Chai – $2 each (Limited pieces, first come first serve until all sold out).
  • Lightning charging cables for Apple products from Ivan Tang – $1 per pack of 3 cables (Free samples available).
  • 手工小玩偶 (Foam Friends) from Joanne Lien and Kaitlyn Tan – $1 each (Buy 1 get 1 free cookie)

講座內容:
介紹AP中文考試型態、考試規則、評分方法、如何準備,蕭老師將透過一些範例,探討中文學校教材和AP考試的差距. 如何在平常中文學校的課程之外準備AP考試。 歡迎中文學校老師以及有意幫助子女準備AP中文考試的家長參加。

主講人介紹:
蕭老師有15年的AP中文教學經驗, 目前在大底特律地區三所中文學校擔任AP 中文與文化教師。 蕭老師也擔任過Bloomfield Hills International Academy及大底特律區外語教育機構中文教師。 蕭老師也曾經為密西根地區的社區學院設計和開設中文課程。

Free Chinese Reading Book Exchange (outside of the classroom area)

  • Program guideline:
    • Honor system based so no reservation needed or rental record tracking
    • Exchange/Borrowing is for one class week (i.e., pick up on Saturday class and return on the next Saturday class)
    • Donation of Chinese reading books are greatly appreciated
    • If you have not returned the book(s) you borrowed last year, please return them.
