密西根中文學校 週報–MCS Newsletter – 09/21/2024
本周六是我們2024-25年度第一次家長大會，將於下午1:45~3:00間於Hub Room舉行(詳見附圖會議室地點)，請全體家長參加。感謝Jaya Holdren自願當2024-25年度的家長會長，希望家長們在未來的活動都可以多多支持她。
We will be hosting the first parent meeting of the 2024-25 school year this Saturday, 1:45pm – 3:00pm at Hub Room (Please refer to the map below). We welcome all parents to attend the meeting. Special thanks to Jaya Holdren for volunteering to be the Parent Chairperson of 2024-25.

學校即將開始製作通訊錄。感謝文書組Anna Lou以及募款活動招集人Jennifer Chen Morikawa負責這項繁複的工作。請各位家長老師們向您認識的店家或贊助商傳達密西根中文學校通訊錄的廣告頁面正在招募中，在此附上以往曾經贊助過學校的商號供大家接洽連繫，並請大家多多發掘新的商家贊助學校 (here) 。
為感謝各位聯絡/開發贊助商家及負責收款，學校提供取得贊助商廣告的家庭每全頁廣告 $20或每半頁廣告$15的回饋，請將附件的贊助招募辦法及說明傳單發送給您希望聯繫的商家。 download
It’s that time again for our annual school directory editing/production (Big shout-out to our Documentation team led by Anna Lou and Fundraising Team Lead Jennifer Chen Morikawa) and advertising fundraising campaign. It will be greatly appreciated if parents can sign up to contact the pre-populated sponsors and/or to develop new sponsors for our school. Please go to the sign-up link (here) to learn more about the process and past sponsors.
As a small token of gratitude, a reward of $20 (for each full-page advertisement) or $15 (for each half-page advertisement) will be awarded to each parent who successfully secures the sponsorship to our school. Feel free to download the flier with detailed advertising package options to facilitate your engagement with your sponsor(s).

以下為這學年的課外活動
活動組，Anna Gollinger和Jaya Holdren將會在教室區域外的公共空間，將發報名表格有興趣參加活動的孩子。
如果有家長或學生想辦課外活動，也可以通知活動組。
The Event Planning team, Anna Gollinger and Jaya Holdren will be available outside of the classroom area to hand out registration forms for children who are interested in participating in the Diabolo Class.
Parents or students who are interested in hosting after school activities, you are welcome to contact the Event Planning team.
中文書籍借閱
Free Chinese Reading Book Exchange (outside of the classroom area)
為加強學生的中文閱讀能力，中文書籍借閱重新開放，我們會將書籍擺放在教室區域外的公共空間，學生可以依自己的喜好及閱讀能力借閱中文書籍，也歡迎您將家中的中文書籍帶來跟大家交換
借閱規則:
- 每個學生每次借閱以一本為限
- 借閱時間為一週(以上課週數計算)，下個上課日上課前歸還至書籍借閱區域
- 圖書管理員不會登記每本書籍的借閱者，請大家自我遵守借閱規則
- 如果您的家中還有疫情前跟學校借閱的中文書籍，請帶回學校交換新的書籍
Program guideline:
- Honor system based so no reservation needed or rental record tracking
- Exchange/Borrowing is limited to one book per student for one class week (i.e., pick up on Saturday class and return on the next Saturday class)
- Donation of Chinese reading books are greatly appreciated

讀書月即將展開，中文學習除了課堂上的授課，學校鼓勵學生們在課外的時間多多閱讀觀看中文讀物及影片，請各位家長陪同並協助小朋友們閱讀中文圖書和影片，詳細的說明及表格將由各班老師提供及解釋。
We are about to kick off an approximately month-long event meant to encourage our students to immerse themselves with Chinese book reading and/or video watching in addition to their Chinese learning in class. Parents are encouraged to join your student’s reading month activities to make it a family fun event! Detailed participating instructions (including reward format at the end of the program) will be communicated by your respective class teacher tomorrow.

僑委會（113）年「全球僑校學生暨僑生歌唱大賽」經線上初賽及
線上準決賽評比，
「海外僑校（團）學生組」、「臺灣華語文學習中心組」及「國內僑生組」分別選出15組、6組及17組學生入圍總決賽。
總決賽將於台灣時間 9月21日下午1時30分舉行，並同步於YouTube平臺進行網路直播
「海外僑校（團）學生組」及「臺灣華語文學習中心組」以播放錄製影片進行，「國內僑生組」則採現場演唱方式評比
將邀請知名音樂人丁曉雯女士、林明陽先生及黃宇寒女士擔任評審；另邀請歌手楊蒨時及旨揭賽事上年度國內僑生組第一名周秋葒擔任中場演出嘉賓。
