Hope all is well. As we are entering our 2nd week of the Chinese Reading Month, please continue to encourage our students to expose themselves with Chinese books and/or multimedia programs to enhance their Chinese learning experiences outside of the classroom.

Our documentation team, Anna Lou has completed the first draft of the family directory and classes information. She will present the draft at the public area for families to verify the information to be published in the Directory.

本週六 2:20 PM 將舉行防火演習。請所有學生依照各班老師指示前往室外集合地點. (Map here) 。
搖鈴後演習開始，到達室外集合地點後，請老師清點各班學生人數無誤，並於收到通知安全信號後，各班帶回教室走廊下課休息，於2:40 PM前進入教室上第二節課。
We will be conducting our annual school fire drill tomorrow around 2:20 p.m. Our teachers have received guidance from the Director of Discipline earlier this week, and we expect the students to follow their respective teacher’s instructions during the evacuation exercise to move together safely as a group to the designated assembly areas outside of the Ward Church building. It’s that time again for our annual school directory editing/production (Big shout-out to our Documentation team led by Anna Lou and Fundraising Team Lead Jennifer Chen Morikawa) and advertising fundraising campaign. It will be greatly appreciated if parents can sign up to contact the pre-populated sponsors and/or to develop new sponsors for our school. As a small token of gratitude, a reward of $20 (for each full-page advertisement) or $15 (for each half-page advertisement) will be awarded to each parent who successfully secures the sponsorship to our school. Feel free to download the flier with detailed advertising package options to facilitate your engagement with your sponsor(s).

中文學習除了課堂上的授課，學校鼓勵學生們在課外的時間多多閱讀觀看中文讀物及影片，請各位家長陪同並協助小朋友們閱讀中文圖書和影片，詳細的說明及表格已由各班老師提供及解釋。
Chinese Reading Month (Sep 28 – Nov 2)
An approximately month-long event meant to encourage our students to immerse themselves with Chinese book reading and/or video watching in addition to their Chinese learning in class. Parents are encouraged to join your student’s reading month activities to make it a family fun event!
中文書籍借閱
Free Chinese Reading Book Exchange (outside of the classroom area)
為加強學生的中文閱讀能力，中文書籍借閱重新開放，我們會將書籍擺放在教室區域外的公共空間，學生可以依自己的喜好及閱讀能力借閱中文書籍，也歡迎您將家中的中文書籍帶來跟大家交換
借閱規則:
- 每個學生每次借閱無上限。
- 借閱時間為一週(以上課週數計算)，下個上課日上課前歸還至書籍借閱區域
- 圖書管理員不會登記每本書籍的借閱者，請大家自我遵守借閱規則
- 如果您的家中還有疫情前跟學校借閱的中文書籍，請帶回學校交換新的書籍
Program guideline:
- Honor system based so no reservation needed or rental record tracking
- Exchange/Borrowing: Students may borrow books for a class week. (i.e., pick up on Saturday class and return on the next Saturday class)
- Donation of Chinese reading books are greatly appreciated

活動組，Anna Gollinger和Jaya Holdren將會在教室區域外的公共空間，將發報名表格有興趣參加活動的孩子。
如果有家長或學生想辦課外活動，也可以通知活動組。
The Event Planning team, Anna Gollinger and Jaya Holdren will be available outside of the classroom area to hand out registration forms for children who are interested in participating in the Diabolo Class.
Parents or students who are interested in hosting after school activities, you are welcome to contact the Event Planning team.

10-20-2024 MI CE Enrichment program
2024年密西根海外文化老師培訓及研習將于10-20-2024 周日下午2-5 點在安娜堡圖書舘城中分舘舉行。請查看附件文宣。
此外圖書館也開放這活動給有興趣的圖舘家庭和孩子們。2023年的文化研習（天燈及剪春字吊飾）受到大家的喜愛和熱烈反應，謝謝大家。
