The Parent Representative Chairperson, Jaya Holdren will be hosting the third Lunar New Year Celebration preparation committee meeting. All Parent Representatives and staffs, please attend the meeting.

2025-26學年度的校長以及副校長人選投票程序已經開始了。有收到投票郵件通知的家長，請在2月1日下午5點前完成線上投票。

Please read the message below from the Parent Council Chairperson, Jaya Holdren.

Dear Parents,

This year’s Lunar New Year celebration will be a bit different from previous years. To simplify the process and make it easier for everyone, we have chosen a more open and manageable venue. However, we still need your support to make the event a success!

We kindly ask each family to bring their favorite snack for the potluck on February 8th from 1:30–3:30 PM. To streamline planning, we have created a SignUpGenius link where you can sign up to bring your snack.

Additionally, your participation is crucial to ensure the celebration runs smoothly. Below are the assignments for each grade:

• Pre-K and CFL: Arrive early to help set up activity stations such as games, coloring tables, origami, etc.
• Kindergarten/1st Grade: Set up the food table, receive and arrange food, and refill the table as needed.
• 2nd Grade: Assist during activity time, monitor tables, and help with games.
• 3rd/4th/5th Grade: Participate in the tang yuan (rice ball) demonstration.
• 6th/7th/8th Grade: Manage the raffle tickets and raffle table.
• Senior class – support presentation set-ups

If you have any Lunar New Year decorations that you can loan to the school for the day, please feel free to bring them to help create a festive atmosphere!

Lastly, don’t forget about our raffle! If you purchase $20 in raffle tickets ahead of time, you’ll receive a 10% bonus—a great way to support the school and join in the festivities. Pay by Zelle to michiganchineseschool@gmail.com with name and student class.
